This drug I have most often used as an intercurrent and infrequently as a simillimum. Its salts too are very useful in removing miasmatic hurdles. Even in acute cases Merc.I.R. and Merc I.F. are very useful as intercurrent remedies or when the Vital force fails to respond despite correct selection of the simillimum. There appears to be no difference between Merc Viv and Solubilis.
